ELEVEN SPORTS’ Watch Together tool has been shortlisted for ‘Best Technology for Fan Engagement’ at the 2020 Sports Technology Awards.

Watch Together is an industry first experience where users can watch live sport with friends, family and fellow fans in the same ‘virtual’ room. The tool allows subscribers to share all the emotions of a matchday together, even if they are hundreds of miles apart.

The nomination represents further recognition for Watch Together, which was crowned ‘Best Digital First Production’ at the SportsPro OTT Awards in November 2019.

Tom Middleditch, Eleven Sports Global Head of Digital said: "At ELEVEN we work really hard to deliver the best possible product to our fans, so it’s an honour to be shortlisted in the fan engagement category. Watch Together was a first in the sports media industry when we launched it and it’s something our viewers love. I’m glad to see the STA judges have too and I look forward to the awards!”

The Sports Technology Awards received hundreds of entries from over 30 countries, across 45 sports this year. ELEVEN SPORTS joins LaLiga, Manchester United, F1 and others on the shortlist. Winners will be announced on June 25th, 2020.
