ELEVEN SPORTS are embracing Esports events to provide fresh content to fans in Portugal and Belgium.

ELEVEN Sports Portugal will broadcast the Virtual Race of Portugal on Sunday for the first time, on YouTube. The event will bring together a host of high-profile Portuguese drivers in a virtual race at the Estoril Circuit.

Fans will have the opportunity to participate in a qualifying round to earn the chance to race alongside drivers including António Félix da Costa, Filipe Albuquerque and Hugo Marcos in the main event.  ELEVEN’s commentary team João Carlos Costa and Óscar Góis will cover proceedings.

ELEVEN is also broadcasting the LaLiga Santander Challenge FIFA tournament for fans in Portugal and Belgium. The tournament will see LaLiga players including Marco Asensio, Sergi Roberto, Marcos Llorente, Reguilón, Lucas Pérez and Adnan Januzaj go head-to-head.

ELEVEN SPORTS Portugal has made its OTT and linear channels free to all Portuguese sports fans for 30 days, to give everyone access to its library of content during a period where they are confined to home.

Nuno Filipe Miranda, Marketing and Communication Director, ELEVEN SPORTS Portugal said:

“At a time when the vast majority of sports competitions have been suspended and fans are staying at home we want to be there to offer some fun and entertainment and to make our content available to all.”
