ELEVEN SPORTS has added six LIVE and EXCLUSIVE events from the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour to its growing rights portfolio in the UK and Ireland.
The acquisition of the LPGA events extends ELEVEN SPORTS’ commitment to golf, with the platform set to officially launch today with LIVE and EXCLUSIVE action from the 2018 PGA Championship.
The agreement means that fans in the UK and Ireland will also have opportunity to watch local hero and newly crowned Women’s British Open Champion, Georgia Hall, who won the major championship at Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Club last weekend.
Golf fans will also have access to Golfing World on ELEVEN SPORTS, a regular magazine show that brings the very latest golf news, tournament updates, tips from leading players and coaches and destination reports from the best courses in the world.
“As we prepare to launch ELEVEN SPORTS in the UK and Ireland with live and exclusive coverage from the prestigious PGA Championship, we are delighted to extend our commitment to golf by adding six events from the LPGA,” said Marc Watson, Executive Chairman & Group CEO, ELEVEN SPORTS. “The LPGA Tour is hugely competitive and very high quality. It was fantastic to see Georgia Hall winning the Women’s British Open last week and golf fans across the country will be able to catch her in action on ELEVEN SPORTS.”

As well as being accessible across multiple platforms online, ELEVEN SPORTS is in discussions with other major platforms in the UK and Ireland to offer the widest possible access to the world-class action available on the service. This is in line with the ‘platform agnostic’ approach ELEVEN SPORTS employs in all its international markets, making it as easy as possible for fans to stay close to the sport they love.
