ELEVEN SPORTS NETWORK has signed a multi-year agreement with Simply Sport to bring LIVE and EXCLUSIVE coverage of next month’s Vuelta a Burgos to fans in Belgium.

Cycling enthusiasts will be able to follow all the LIVE and EXCLUSIVE action from every stage of the five-day tour in northern Spain on TV, online, and on mobile via the network’s enhanced ELEVEN SPORTS digital service.

Part of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Europe Tour, the Vuelta a Burgos will see top riders from some of the best teams in the world including Ettix – Quick-Step and Tinkoff-Saxo – led by previous Tour de France champion Alberto Contador – battle it out for victory.

“We are delighted to further expand our cycling offering in Belgium and ensure fans can follow some of the best riders in the world at this historic race, live only on ELEVEN,” says Danny Menken, Group Managing Director, ELEVEN SPORTS NETWORK. “We are sure our fully localised coverage will be very popular with cycling enthusiasts across the country, as they follow all the twists and turns of this exciting event.”

The Vuelta a Burgos has a history of prolific recent winners, including Grand Tour specialists Nairo Quintana, Joaquim Rodriguez and Alejandro Valverde, with last year’s race won by Astana Pro Team cyclist Rein Taaramae.

“We are pleased to partner with ELEVEN and bring the Vuelta a Burgos to the many passionate cycling fans in Belgium.” says Javier Tola, Managing Director, Simply Sport. “With a rich history of world-class riders and teams competing in stunning Spanish scenery, this is easily one of the most eye-catching events on the cycling calendar.”

This year’s Vuelta a Burgos – the 38th edition of the event – takes place from 2-6 August, with the 675km race route split across four road stages and a team time-trial, which makes up stage two of the competition.

In addition to the Vuelta a Burgos and other cycling events including the Giro del Trentino, subscribers in Belgium can watch LIVE and EXCLUSIVE football from top leagues and cup competitions including Spanish LaLiga, Italian Serie A TIM, Emirates FA Cup, English Football League and English Football League Cup, French Ligue 1, Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, Scottish Professional Football League and 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia CONMEBOL qualifiers, as well as NBA, Velux EHF Champions League handball, kickboxing, MMA and tennis events from around the world on the network’s two channels, Eleven and Eleven Sports.

Both channels are available in Belgium on Proximus TV, Telenet, VOO and Orange, and can be accessed online by every sports fan across the country at www.elevensports.be, and as an app that can be downloaded from Google Play and the App Store.
